Charging and range

The BYD SEAL can achieve an all-electric range of 570 km.

When the battery runs out, fast charging is not a problem. You can charge your BYD SEAL in just 26 minutes using a DC charger with a capacity of 150 kW (from 30% to 80% battery charge). In addition, you get an AC 11kW built-in charger that makes charging at home convenient and simple. Using this charger, you can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in just under 9 hours.

BYD SEAL is the first model equipped with its own developed CTB (cell-to-body) technology.
This cutting-edge technology integrates the Blade battery seamlessly into the car’s body, creating a solid “sandwich” structure that achieves exceptional torsional strength of 40,500 N*m/°. The result is an electric car that provides a greater sense of safety, improved handling and increased cabin space. With CTB technology, the Blade battery is not only a source of energy, but also a structural component capable of withstanding significant forces.

The BYD SEAL goes a step further with the latest iTAC (intelligent Torque Adaption Control) technology. This advanced system effectively minimizes or completely eliminates slippage, unlocking the full potential of the vehicle’s power. Not only does it increase safety, but it also improves the overall handling of the BYD SEAL, ensuring a smooth and safe driving experience.

With iTAC, restoring vehicle dynamics goes beyond traditional power reduction methods. Instead, the system intelligently distributes torque, using torque transfer, appropriate torque reduction and negative torque output.

BYD Seal is equipped with the all-new BYD e-Platform 3.0 designed exclusively for pure electric vehicles. BYD has outstanding vertical integration capabilities within the supply chain. By integrating 8 key components, including VCU, BMS, MCU, PDU, DC-DC controller, on-board charger, electric motor and transmission, it produces the world’s first mass-produced 8-in-1 electric drive system. This system greatly optimizes space utilization and energy efficiency.

The advanced energy-saving heat pump system operates reliably over a wide temperature range and is designed to make the most of residual heat from the environment, powertrain, passenger compartment and even batteries. This system increases thermal efficiency and reduces energy loss, whether used for heating or cooling. This increases driving range in low temperatures.
